Dr. Henry A. Cathey, JR. D.D.S.
Dr. Cathey is a graduate of Davidson College and the University Of North Carolina Dental School. He has practiced in Newport News since 1973. He and his wife Judy have three children. He is an avid gardener, woodworker, water and snow skier, trap shooter, hiker, biker and kayaker...still crazy after all these years.
Office Administrator
The Office Administrator will handle all aspects of the financial portion of your dental care. She will discuss your treatment plan in detail and assist you with insurance claims. She is always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding the financial aspect of your visit.
Scheduling Coordinator
Our Scheduling Coordinator is in charge of coordinating all dental appointments for you and your family. She is responsible for keeping all patient records up to date and will follow up with your records to insure that you see the hygienist and Dr. Cathey on a regular basis in your preventative program. Please notify her of any changes in your address or phone number.
Our Registered Dental Hygienist is a graduate of an accredited school of Dental Hygiene, has successfully passed National and Regional Boards, and holds a license from the State of Virginia to practice Dental Hygiene. Her duties include:
• Routine adult cleanings and non-surgical periodontal treatments under the directions of Dr. Cathey
• Preliminary examinations and screenings fro periodontal disease (PSR) to help Dr. Cathey evaluate your dental health
• Educating our patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral health.
Dental Assistants
We have two Dental Assistants on staff that will help provide your dental care at the time of your appointment. Our assistants and hygienist strive to make your cleanings as comfortable as possible. They are always available to answer any questions or concerns that you may have regarding treatment for you or your children.
